Last month, Photogrammar became the latest project to become part of the Digital Scholarship Lab’s American Panorama: An Atlas of American History.
Directed by Lauren Tilton (Rhetoric and Communication Studies) and Taylor Arnold (Math and Computer Science), Photogrammar maps the 170,000 photos taken during the Great Depression and World War II by the Farm Security Administration and the Office of War Information. While the iconic photos from the collection are instantly recognizable, the maps and other visualizations on the new release of Photogrammar provide multiple routes to explore this incredible archive of American photography.
